Why Choose Us
Our tagline: “where your data goes to work.”
Why did we choose it? Because solutions we create concentrate on providing an excellent user experience and interface. We will work hard to hide from you what you don’t need to see and automate actions to save you time and effort. In this way your data is easily and readily available to be put to whatever analysis you see fit.
We’re built on the following principles:
- be truthful: if we bill by the hour, we will only charge you for hours worked, no extra buffer.
- be adventurous: technology changes, so should we. We thrive on learning continuously so we can provide you with cutting-edge solutions.
- be available: you can find us by email, phone and chat when you need us. We respond to most support requests within hours.
Your business is important to you; you are important to us. It’s that simple.
The Support Group put together a white paper to help prospective customers better choose a FileMaker consultant.
It poses 6 questions. Below are our answers. Ask your other candidate to do the same. It might help you in your decision-making process.
Question # 1: Are You a FileMaker Certified Developer?
Answer: Yes, we are FileMaker 10 and 11 certified. We also work with other certified or trusted but non-certified developers who have extensive FileMaker knowledge and have worked with the product for over 5 years. Agnes Riley has been developing FileMaker solutions since 1993.
Question # 2: Are you a member of the FileMaker Business Alliance and TechNet?
Answer: Yes, ZeroBlue is a member of both.
Question # 3: Are you a FileMaker Authorized training provider?
Answer: No, we are not. We create custom solutions. We can offer one-on-one or small group training, but if you’re looking for classroom training, we can refer you to someone else in your area.
Question # 4: Do you work independently, or do you employ other consultants?
Answer: We are a small, yet growing shop of three people with a network of consultants. You will get your own dedicated account manager. Being a small shop, we can afford to be nimble in our approach, which allows us to give clients quick turnaround.
Question # 5: Do you bill hourly or by the project?
Answer: We believe in the “honest buck for an honest hour’s work” method. We do proper planning but do accommodate changes, because life changes. That being said, we will never cut corners. We bill hourly for small modifications or if it’s an ongoing project; we bill by the project on larger projects. We charge by the hour for creating an estimate so we can give you a proper estimate for our work—and then we stick to it.
Question # 6: What experience and expertise do you have integrating FileMaker with other applications?
Answer: We have extensive experience in integration. We have done FileMaker to mySQL and vice-versa; we can integrate with WordPress, PHP-based websites through Custom Web Publishing, and QuickBooks, just to name a few. If the third party has an API that we can connect to, we will. With more and more applications going cloud-based, nobody can ignore the fact that integration is as important as building the database itself.
