Do I need any additional software to scan into FileMaker on an iPhone/iPodTouch/iPad?

No, you DO NOT need any additional software.

Will the Scanfob 2002 work for Mac or Windows?

The Scanfob 2002 is platform independent. You will need a Bluetooth-enabled device to connect to, though.

Does the device require batteries?

No, it charges from a USB port, so you can charge it from your notebook on the road.

Does the Scanfob act as a “keyboard” wedge?

Yes, it does. An iOS device (iPhone/iPad) will recognize it as a keyboard, therefore the pop-up keyboard will not activate, unless you scan a code to turn the antenna off or on. You will get the codes for this, so you can put them on the back of your mobile device. We are hoping that Apple will release an OS update in the near future that will recognize barcode scanner as scanners, NOT keyboards. (We believe FileMaker Inc. is aware of this limitation.)

Is there anything special we need to code into the FileMaker Go database for it to interface?

No, you do not need to do anything in FileMaker. Once the scanner is connected, you can just scan away.

Can I purchase the device directly from you?

What’s the warranty for the Scanfob 2002?

The Scanfob 2002 carries a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Do you provide International shipping?

Yes, we ship Internationally. Once you give us your address, we can provide you with shiping quotes.

What is your return policy?

Note: No returns will be accepted without an RMA number and original packaging.
There are three categories of returns; here are the explanations of each:

Exchange: Send your items back to be exchanged for new items.
This is the case if your items are defective and within the warranty period,
-or- if you ordered the wrong item and would like to exchange it for the correct item.

Refund: Send your items back for a full refund (minus shipping).
This is the case if you are within 30 days or purchase, and the product is defective,
-or- if the item is not operating as promised.  If the product is too cumbersome to setup or use,
the customer must allow ZeroBlue Support to troubleshoot the issue before a return for refund can be made.
A full refund will only be provided when the items have been received with all original packaging, in saleable condition.
Note: No returns for refund will be made later than 30 days after the sale date.

Refund w/ restocking fee: This applies if the customer simply “changed their mind,”
or is returning a non-defective product. The standard restocking fee is 15%.
